Skin Deep

The Skin Deep videos were created by Children’s Health Queensland with the support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. The series aims to aid and support adolescents adjust back to life after a burn injury, particularly for use in the acute and rehabilitation phases.

Based on stories from burn survivors and parents, the 10 videos address self-esteem, self-acceptance and social relationships to promote quality of life through focusing on:

• Coping with treatment
• Returning to daily life including school and work
• Negotiating the future
• managing public interest
